For English teachers
ESL lesson plans and worksheets, drafted with AI
If you teach English, at a school or a language institute, TeachPal drafts lesson plans in the shape language lessons take: warm-up, presentation, practice and production. Ask for a worksheet or reading questions from the same lesson, and keep everything editable.

Example
One request, and what comes back
You ask
Plan a 60-minute pre-intermediate lesson on the present continuous, PPP, with a speaking task at the end.
Present continuous · PPP
Pre-intermediate · 60 minutes
- Warm-up · 5 min
- Mime game: one student acts out an action, and the class guesses what they are doing right now.
- Presentation · 15 min
- A picture of a busy street. Elicit sentences, then build the form on the board: am/is/are + -ing.
- Practice · 20 min
- A gap-fill worksheet, then pairs ask and answer about the picture: “What is he doing?”
- Production · 15 min
- Phone-call role play: one partner describes what is happening around them, the other draws it.
- Wrap-up · 5 min
- Three sentences with mistakes to correct on the board, and homework: describe a family photo.
Each stage can be edited and retimed, and the plan stays in your library.
Guide
What a lesson plan for an English class contains
PPP (presentation, practice, production) is the most common shape, and most plans for language lessons share these stages. Without the content, the list doubles as a blank lesson plan template.
Aims
One measurable sentence: by the end of the lesson, students will be able to… It names a language point and a skill.
Warm-up
A few minutes of a game or quick questions to switch the class into English and lead into the topic.
Presentation
New language in a familiar context, usually through a picture or a short text, with the form on the board.
Controlled practice
Gap-fills or paired question and answer, so students use the structure accurately.
Freer practice
A speaking or writing task in which students use the language to say something of their own.
Wrap-up and homework
Go over the common mistakes, sum up, and set homework that takes the structure home.
Other shapes: TTT and TBL
Test-teach-test and task-based lessons are common too. Say which one you want in the request.
In TeachPal
From request to classroom
Give the level, the age and the language point
Write the grammar or vocabulary, the level (A2, pre-intermediate) and the age, and how long the class is. Attach the pages of the coursebook unit if you have them.
Edit the plan
The plan comes back as its own document. Change a stage’s timing or swap an activity; each save makes a new version.
Make the worksheet
Ask for a worksheet or a quiz from the same lesson, then print the student copy without answers or download it as a Word file.
To start with
Requests to start from
Write them the way you would brief a colleague. Persian, English or a mix of the two all work.
- Plan a 45-minute lesson for 8-year-olds from the attached coursebook unit, with a song in the warm-up.
- Make a past simple worksheet with ten gap-fill sentences and an answer key.
- Simplify this reading text to A2 and write five multiple-choice comprehension questions on it.
- Write a paired IELTS speaking activity about travel, with follow-up questions.
- Write the plan with my notes in Persian and the activities and instructions in English.
Before you rely on it
Before you rely on it
- The AI does not know the exact content of your coursebook. Upload the unit’s pages as a PDF or Word file so the plan follows the book.
- It does not make listening audio; it writes the script and the questions.
- A plan is a draft. Fit it to your class’s level and timing before the lesson.
Questions
What teachers ask about this
What goes into an ESL lesson plan?
Aims, stages with their timings, the activities and homework. Most follow PPP; test-teach-test and task-based lessons are common too.
Can I get the plan in Persian, or in both languages?
Yes. The workspace runs fully in Persian or English, and you can ask for the plan, the worksheet and the questions in English, Persian or both.
Does it work for young learners?
Yes. Give the children’s age and the lesson length, and ask for games, songs or movement. Young learners usually need shorter stages and more repetition, so say that in the request too.
Can it plan from our coursebook?
Yes, if you upload the unit’s pages as a PDF or Word file. TeachPal quotes the passage it used, so you can see where in the book each activity comes from.
Does it make worksheets?
Yes: gap-fill, multiple-choice or reading worksheets with an answer key. The student copy prints without answers, and you can download a Word file.
Does it work for IELTS and adult classes?
Yes. Give the level and the aim, say IELTS Speaking Part 2 or formal writing, and the activities and examples are written for it.
