Install the TeachPal app on iPhone and Android

TeachPal is a web app, so there is nothing to download from a store. Add it to your Home Screen and it opens full-screen like any other app, straight to a new chat. It takes about ten seconds.

Install steps

  1. Tap Share. On iOS 26, tap ••• beside the address bar first.

  2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.

  3. Tap Add. On iOS 26, leave Open as Web App on.

  4. TeachPal appears on your Home Screen.

Don’t see the option?

Check that the page is open in Safari, not inside another app such as Telegram or Instagram. In the Share sheet, scroll the list of actions to the end: Add to Home Screen is near the bottom, and you can add it with Edit Actions.

Step by step

How to install TeachPal on your phone

On iPhone and iPad (Safari)

On iPhone, web apps install from Safari’s Share menu rather than the App Store.

  1. Open teachpal.site in Safari.

  2. Tap Share. On iOS 26 it is inside the ••• menu beside the address bar; on earlier versions it is in the toolbar at the bottom, or at the top on iPad.

  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.

  4. On iOS 26, leave Open as Web App on. Tap Add, and the TeachPal icon appears on your Home Screen.

Chrome, Edge and Firefox on iPhone can add it too, from their own Share button, on iOS 16.4 and later.

On Android (Chrome)

Chrome often offers to install TeachPal on its own. If it doesn’t, it takes two taps in the menu.

  1. Open teachpal.site in Chrome.

  2. Tap Install if Chrome offers it. If not, tap ⋮ at the top and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

  3. Tap Install to confirm. TeachPal appears with your other apps and opens full-screen.

In Samsung Internet, tap ≡, then Add page to and Home screen. In Firefox, open the menu and choose Add app to Home screen.

What is a web app (PWA)?

A web app, or PWA (progressive web app), is a website that installs on your phone like an app. It gets its own icon, opens in its own window without the browser’s address bar, and updates itself. TeachPal is built this way, so the same app works on iPhone, Android and a computer.

There is no installation file and nothing to keep up to date. Your chats, plans and files are kept in your account, not on the phone, so they are there on every device you sign in on.

Why add it

  • One tap away

An icon beside your other apps, ready in the minutes between lessons.

  • Full screen

No address bar and no tabs. Just your chats, plans and files.

  • Always up to date

There are no updates to install. You always have the latest version.

Questions

Before you install it

Do I download TeachPal from the App Store or Google Play?

No. TeachPal is a web app: you install it from your browser, as this page shows, with no file to download. Installing it is free, and a new account starts on the free plan.

Is it a real app?

It’s TeachPal’s web app, installed. It gets its own icon and window, opens full-screen and keeps you signed in, like an app from a store.

Which phones can install it?

Any iPhone or iPad with a recent version of iOS, and any Android phone with Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet. On iPhone, Safari works on every recent version; Chrome and other browsers can add it from iOS 16.4.

Do I need an account first?

No. Install it now, then sign in or create an account the first time you open it.

Can I install it on a computer?

Yes. In Chrome or Edge, open the site and click the install icon in the address bar or use the browser menu. On a Mac with Safari 17 or later, choose File, then Add to Dock.

Does it take up space?

Almost none. There is nothing to download beyond the page itself, and it updates on its own.

How do I remove it?

As you would any app: press and hold the icon and remove it. Your chats and files stay in your account.
